Went here on a business trip, ordered the bison fillet and oh boy was it tasty! This is my 3rd or 4th time at Ted's Montana (various locations). And every time I go I get the same thing, yes boring but still fanatic.
Ordered the Hendricks Mule, good tasting cocktail and recommended if you like gin. -

Well, Ted's isn't much on my radar these days. I've eaten at Ted's so many times over the years that I've just lost the want to eat here.
However, we were out and about marketing downtown and it was 3 against 1 to eat here. I think my main worry was not finding something friendly to my current diet (going more plant-based), so I was happy to find something I could eat.
Ted's is your classy, upscale lunch spot (or dinner if you prefer) and you'll typically find a ton of business men here. We actually ran into Arthur Blank on our way out, which proves my point. In fact, it was all business men when we came in this day. Decor is nice, with white cloths on all the tables.
They are known for their bison burger, and the pickles they bring out as an appetizer (which are really good). I opted for the veggie burger and cauliflower. The veggie burger was actually pretty good, although it did fall apart fairly easily. The cauliflower was ok, could've used some seasoning. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meal too. The waitress did an excellent job taking care of us.
Just not really my style any longer to eat here, but a business lunch is perfect & Ted's is unique to the Atlanta scene. -

Went here with a group of colleagues for lunch, and after the experience, I can sum it up as a pricier Chilis/TGIF/(insert another insipid national chain).
Here is why: they advertise as being bison meat purveyors, and I got the bison meatloaf. I polished the whole plate, which came with mashed taters and green beans, and my impression was this: it tastes just like any other meatloaf i got in nondescript school cafeterias. As in unremarkable, and didn't taste anything special, in this case the bison. Should it be gamey, earthy, different from ground beef? I would think so.
The worst was the price. $17 for cafeteria meatloaf. The food quality is akin to those chains I mentioned in the beginning. Insipid. At least they don't charge as much as here. I would only go to those if I were desperate and nothing else was around.
This place makes it easy not to return. -

I wish I could use negative stars for this. We parked and were deciding whether to go to Ted's is Uncle Julio's..... Ted's won't win again.
First the good- Our server was very friendly and pleasant.
The notsogood-
The restaurant smells stale, like an attic or a basement. We sat outside where flies, honeybees, and bumblebees were in abundance.
Mine was bison pot roast with garlic mashed potatoes and buttered carrots. Serving size was about what was expected but the potatoes were just like the kind you'd buy in the refrigerated section of a grocery store, the carrots were steamed with no butter, and the gravy on the meat tasted like it came from a can.
My spouse had short ribs with the same mashed potatoes and asparagus (a premium side so at an additional $1). The ribs were essentially my pot roast on the bone, same grocery store potatoes, and the asparagus was definitely not fresh and was covered in oil or butter... or... something.
The fly I couldn't shoo away landed in my plate but it was ok with me because the food was terrible. Everything was was old, seriously.. we ordered pot roast and short ribs and it wasn't 5 minutes before our food came. Flies are expected when dining outside so I wasn't going to say anything. When our server came to clear the plates she offered to have the kitchen make a new one. Her offer was very nice but I declined. As we waited for the bill my husband asked what we're having for dinner....
This was our first, and last visit. -

I'm glad we went back to Ted's. Had not been there in over four years. Only ding on it was that the service and overall time things took seemed a little long. And they weren't short-staffed from what we could yell, at least in the front of the house, so not sure if that is normal or not.
Food was good and had the largest variety of bison dishes I've seen. Had the bison ground steak with broccoli and carrots on the side and thought everything tasted good.
Highlight of the night was probably my son's dessert. He had the warm chocolate brownie with Kahlua chocolate sauce and ice cream. Home run.
